Barnabas & Bessie are both made with a 5/8” sparse country mohair
& a very short upholstery fabric or felt for the shoes. The joints
for the arms & legs are loose doubled cotterpins while the head is
a single cotterpin. The skirt, bow tie & hat can be made from fabric
scraps you love or from plain cotton painted with fabric paints, your
choice!
Fur requirements for Barnabas (Option #1):
*head - 8 1/4" x 5 1/2"
*body - 9" x 18"
*paws - 8 1/4" x 6 3/4"
*pads - 6 1/4" x 5"
The Barnabas kit(fur option #2) contains the following fur combination:
*head & top of body - 9" x 18"
*overalls & legs - 6" x 18"
*feet - 6" x 7"
*pads - 4 1/2" x 4"
Bessie Fabric Requirement:
*head & body - 14” x 18”
*ballet shoes - 8” x 4”
*co-ordinating merino wool felt or ultrasuede for paw pads

*4 or 5 mm glass eyes or plastic safety eyes
*upholstery thread
*pearl cotton for nose & mouth
*3 sets - ²” hardboard joints for each bear
*2 sets - 1” hardboard joints for each bear
